I spent two days at John C. Campbell Folk School with Barbara Swell who was teaching
The Lost Art of Old-time Cooking.
Barbara regularly teaches from her home, I learned pickle making and old fashioned  bread making from her and she also participated in a couple of my classes.
I love to talk with Barbara, she's like an Italian friend, invariably all conversations turn to food: comparing notes, growing herbs and vegetables, herbs and fruit flavored home made liquors and cordials.
My two days at J.C.C.F.S. were sort of an appetizer for me, this summer, in June, I will teach my first class there, Barbara is a veteran of the place and she was showing me around and introducing the place. I loved it and I am really looking forward to my week there and to meet my students.
A bonus: my recently married daughter will also spend the week there, enrolled in a hiking and nature class: our respective husbands will stay home and I guess try to survive without us.
